Really sharp observation about caring becoming the differentiator. The connection between letting AI do the thinking and not caring about consumer experience is spot-on. I've noticed that my best wrk comes when I resist the urge to open ChatGPT first and just sit with the problem. The discomfort of that blank space is where the real synthesis happens, pulling together stuff only I've lived through.

"The discomfort of that blank space is where the real synthesis happens" – 10000000%

And over time, that discomfort turns into pleasure! :)

Loved reading this..especially the references to your academic records. :) It is impressive to see how your attention to detail has remained a consistent hallmark of your work throughout your career.

Thank you for pointing me to those records in the first place! :D

This was an insightful read! Completely agree with you, humans need time to think deeply. Otherwise you end up creating surface level connections.

You'd think will all the tools we adopt to speed things up in our lives we'd get more time to do that deep thinking but somehow it keeps a lot of us stuck at the surface struggling to connect (myself included at times).

It's crazy to see that people are so happy posting on LinkedIn how they spent their Christmas break or a weekend trying out a new tool or a new workflow that made them more productive. I mean, don't they see the irony in it?

People are literally looking for problems that a certain tool can solve because everybody says you must use that tool.

Right? I find stepping away from a screen so refreshing in the first place. Crazy how people are choosing to spend more time tinkering with pixels instead of letting their brains wander! Thanks for sharing your thoughts here!
